Toshiba 15LV505 Review
The Toshiba 15LV505 is a LCD TV made for people looking for something a little smaller than most TVs but larger than a portable TV. With a 15.6" screen, the 15LV505 is an ideal TV for bedrooms and unconventional spots such as underneath kitchen cabinetry, around bookshelves and anywhere else that you might want to keep an eye on the TV but where a large screen unit wouldn't easily fit.
There is a built in DVD player with this model and the 15.6" screen renders HD broadcasts with exceptional clarity and vivid, realistic colors. The 15LV505's display has a 16:9 aspect ratio, something which you may want to keep in mind for HD viewing, since many high definition broadcasts are in 4:3 ratio, meaning that the image will display a bit smaller than on some other HDTV sets.
If you're looking for a LCD TV in this size range, you literally couldn't do better than the Toshiba 15LV505. Not only is the quality of this set up to Toshiba's usual high standards, but this is the only quality brand model in its size. The included stand is not adjustable for height or viewing angle and there seems to be a little bit of lag when switching from one channel to another, but these are relatively minor complaints given the quality of this mid-size HDTV.
